Inspired by its commitment to continually add value to the lives of Nigerians, Fidson Healthcare Plc, once again upheld its corporate philosophy with a financial donation to assist the upgrade of infrastructure at Children Developmental Centre in Lagos.
The donation which has been a tradition of the frontline pharmaceutical company in Nigeria as part of its annual Corporate Social Responsibility programmes was presented to by the Corporate Service Manager, Fidson Healthcare Plc, Mr Oladimeji Oduyebo.
According to Mr Oduyebo, the rationale for Fidson’s continuous support for the Centre is to demonstrate our commitment to the society in the area healthcare and children’s welfare, especially to these children who required some hands of love and care, to be able to harness their hidden potentials and make them achievers in the society. Oduyebo emphasised that these children are normal children that can achieve some amazing feat if given a little more support, love and attention.
“This is why Fidson Healthcare Plc has continued to take the initiative of showing these kids more love and attention, as a way of encouraging them to achieve what a normal child would achieve”. Mr Oduyebo also encouraged the Centre’s director to continue to build the children’s aptitude and harness their potentials of being great individuals,as against the society’s perception of them.
Responding, Director of Service, CDC, Dr YinkaAkindayomi who was delighted with Fidson’s support, expressed gratitude to the frontline pharmaceutical company for constantly having the Centre in mind and providing developmental support to these kids every year. She however called on more individual and corporate organisations to take a cue from Fidson and join in the support of this worthy cause.
Children’s Developmental Centre (CDC) is a Lagos-based facility that provides diagnostic assessments, treatment, vocational training, and other social services to children and young adults with autism spectrum disorders.
Fidson’s contribution to the infrastructural development of CDC is in line with the company’s commitment to relentlessly making a difference in the society by adding value to the lives of the people as established in its corporate slogan “we value lives.”
