Salisu Buhari who was removed as House Speaker for forging his certificates has been appointed by GEJ as a member of the governing council of a Nigerian University? Goodluck Jonathan is really sick upstairs!

having politicians as members of the governing councils of nigerian universties and we are still asking why our universities are not improving… Can someone tell me what these guys can do for our universities except destroying it?

    • okpo April 4, 2013 at 6:00 pm

can you point at any claer diffs between those politicians and the political ASUU lecturers in each of these Universities

  5. Alibaba April 4, 2013 at 7:30 am

Politicians in the university council gives it a wider xperience, since all thos that constitute de council ar of age, wide xperince nd most hav held reasonable positions, gve them the chance to come up with smthng nt blasting thm.

    • Benbela April 5, 2013 at 2:49 am

Alibaba and the 40 thieves. You are an imbecile.
What “xperience and reasonable positions” are you talking about? These goons had their chances long ago and they used it to destroy Nigeria. Name one of then that did one good thing in the past. Jonathan came out through a very corrupt process and idiots like you are hailing his wishy-washy decisions. Idiots ruling fools!

  6. Ifagbenle Funso April 4, 2013 at 11:38 am

President Jonathan, Where is the South/West in all these appointments? Well, just know that you can never get the votes of the South/West anymore. You shall definately be voted out come 2015. I am seeing you being levelled even in the primary election. Then, you will understand that you can never do away with the Yorubas who form one of the tripod stand called Nigeria. Just wait and see, your days in the presidential palace are numbered. It has showed that you have a hatred for the Yourbas. but, you courted their votes. You shall never get that again. This time, the entire Yoruba race shall vote for whoever is your opponent, be it Hausa, Igbo man or any other minority. Just mark my words.

    • Eriwa dot com April 5, 2013 at 7:23 am

Funcho, read the write up once again, and comment objectively

  7. VOCALISER April 4, 2013 at 2:16 pm

Hmmmmm, I never knew that the Yorubas have the power to make and unmake the President ot this country. Thanks to Information and Technology.

    • Benbela April 5, 2013 at 3:06 am

Nigerian rulers are fools, Nigerians themselves are bigger fools. When a president with a PhD appoints a certificate forger to supervise university activities don’t you think something is wrong with that?
@Ifagbenle Funso never said that Yoruba have the power to make and unmake the president. All he said was his people will not vote for Jonathan comes next election. If you are smart enough, you will see that if Yoruba votes are taken out of Jonathan’s votes he would have lost to Buhari. Check INEC records. Anyway, you and your people need to build a political academy because you all lack so much in politics.

  8. chuks April 4, 2013 at 2:45 pm

GEJ I hope you are not running out of ideas. This issue should be your least occupation for now. There is rot in the education system and all these people participated in all the government that ruined our education system. They could not redeem the rot. This is from frying pan to fire. Imagine salisu buhari being a member of the univeristy governing board, and my university for that matter. Nigeria is finished.

  9. Danladi Nehemiah April 4, 2013 at 3:04 pm

I have not seen any name of all these governing board member from my own state,Plateau.

    • Suntali April 4, 2013 at 6:23 pm

Probably the one that will be sent from the Federal Ministry of Education or perhaps the member from the university senate, congregation or convocation which shall be nominated by the university; if Univ Jos deemed it necessary may consider the name of any Berom, as you are calling….

  10. Suntali April 4, 2013 at 6:25 pm

This one na clear case of “chop we also chop” as usual

  11. Meccavin Ezeanya April 4, 2013 at 7:15 pm

I think GEJ is a litle confused here. Salisu who shud be hiding his face is appointed, Iwuanyawu, a biz man cum politician who will hadly have tym for sch is appointed chairman. I wonder o!

  12. Dangana Daniel April 4, 2013 at 8:08 pm

The long awaited appoinments, thank God it has finally arrieved.

  13. RichardAA April 4, 2013 at 9:05 pm

This is clear indication that Jonathan has institutionalized corruption, well, let me help him more, Mr, president could you please include oga Tafa Balogun, Bode G. Mania pension, Gbenga Daniel, James Ibori, you can still add Anthony Anini, i believe these people will make our education more effective and efficient, but please and kindly remove Soyinka Onijala for God sake i don’t think she really fit among these powerful names.

  14. Wisdom April 4, 2013 at 11:25 pm

    @ Due, ebot ikot iwa

  15. Matthias April 5, 2013 at 1:49 am

Education is a social process; education is growth; education is not preparation for life but is life itself. So our leaders should not play politics with it,OED.
