Ogun State Government yesterday waded into the reported case of a school principal in charge of one of its schools, Mrs. Olufunke Olatundun Aladeojebi who was alleged to have conducted virginity test on some female students of Ajuwon High School, Iju Ajuwon in Ifo Local Government Area.
After preliminary investigations conducted by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mrs. Aladeojebi had been suspended from work. The state commissioner, Barrister Segun Odubela said the Ministry had invited and interrogated the school principal to give her fair hearing. Odubela added that a five-man panel consisting of officials of both the Ministry and Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) was set up to further investigate the case and make appropriate recommendations on how to deal with the matter.
The panel has 14 days to submit its report. Odubela added that the government was concerned about the welfare and interest of the students and therefore would not tolerate any act that would compromise their fundamental rights or jeopardise their future. “We equally believe in the need to maintain discipline in our schools and to follow due process in the handling of this particular case. We appeal to the parents of the students involved to be patient and allow us to handle the case as dictated by the law of the land and service rules, ” he said.

Too many questions without answers. Who requested for the test and what specifically is the result of such and unholy test going to be used for? This was a collective decision taken by the school authority on the advice of a medical personnel and we need to know every motive behind it. No one should offer her any entitlements, she must go without benefits, devilish woman. The principal is a sick woman who should not be in a school system.The parents young girls should get lawyers to go after the principal and the school system she represents because the system knew she is a sick individual that dpoes not belong to the school organization.

This is purely a police case. What are the 14 man committee going to investigate. The allegation is credible sound as it could be collaborated from the victimized students. It is not an isolated issue, therefore the so called investigation is waste of manpower and finance. The woman is a pedophille and should be sitting in jail while the investigation is going on by the police. This is a case where over ten children can collaborate an issue and somebody is talking about setting a panel of investigation. You all must be in the 14th Century.
Was it a collective decision by the school authorities? Parents should get lawyers to institute a civil action against the school. It is not just for the govt to conduct an investigation and sack those responsible. They will just go and open a private school somewhere, and life will go on. The principal and the nurse has over stepped their bounds and should be severely punished for their action. Those girls will have to deal with the terrible psychological side effects and probably infection.Secondly, hope her action is not for any ritual purpose.
