Former presidential candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has blamed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for suicide bombings. He also accused the ruling party of being responsible for the high level of insecurity and corruption in the country. “The PDP has ruled Nigeria since 1999 and the only things it brought to us are insecurity, suicide bombings and corruption at the highest level,” Ribadu alleged.
According to him, “PDP has failed Nigeria. It is time to give the opposition a new chance. I call on other opposition parties to join the new train of progressives.” Ribadu who spoke to Daily Sun in Abuja at the weekend, also warned members of the newly-formed All Progressives Congress (APC) to be wary of the antics of those dissatisfied with the emergence of the party. “Those benefitting from today’s political structure will not want the new party to succeed.
They’ll fight back,” Ribadu warned. “What matters is for people to hold on and fight till the end. Those that are merging will not get it so easily. If they were imagining that others were going to accept it like that, they’re making a mistake. Those who’ll lose out will fight back.” Ribadu, however, hailed the emergence of APC, saying that it will rival the PDP who held sway since 1999. “I’m so proud of it. I’m very happy that I’m part of it. I think it is part of the biggest development in our recent history. I pray that it will work this time better than before. “This country needs a strong and viable opposition that can help Nigerians to chose as an alternative. We’ve not been able to provide that before.
The opposition party was or less regional until now. We’ve now seen them (parties) coming together. It is going to create a national party that is going to rival the PDP. Most importantly, I hope it is going to bring the change that we are looking for.
“Coming together may be meaningless if it is not going to bring a new thing. Coming together must provide us the opportunity and chance to do things in a different way. Let us hope the merger will provide a new way by which we can do politics in Nigeria.
Let us see to it that this merger provides the platform to play national politics and not sectional. It is good for our country and let us hope that it will help us get out of the problems that we’ve found ourselves. I pray that it is going to give Nigeria a chance to create a solid platform to do what is right. I also pray that the merger will not produce corrupt and sectional leaders,” he said.
On his 2015 presidential ambition, Ribadu said that it was too early to make his position known. He said it would affect the consolidation of the new merger. “It will be very unwise and improper for anybody to jump the gun and make a conclusion.
Let us build the new party first and then individuals can come forward with their own ambitions to do what they feel is best for them, including myself,” Ribadu said.

Ribadu is a lier. After all, he was part of PDP before. PDP is not the cause of corruption, Northern Military Dictators and Coupist are the clear cause of corruption. All the Northern States military Administrators that served all over Nigerian States are as corrupt as Tinubu.
Is clear to all Nigerians how insecurity and terrorism started in Nigeria. Is fully caused by Islamic Fundamentalist and was nurtured by Northern Political Leaders and CPC party inflamed it after they lost last Presidential election. The same people that caused insecurity are now blaming their victims of causing insecurity. Is it DPD that attempted to blow American Airline in American soil? Is it PDP that bombed the Church on Christmas day? Is it PDP that said that they will make their own Govt ungovernable? Is it PDP that send terrorist to Yemen, Mali etc for terrorist training? Is it PDP that bombed UN building? Is it PDP that kill Pastors and families? Is it PDP that kill thousands of Christian and hundreds of muslims? Did they bombed all the police check points, police stations, military barracks, churches, robbed banks, snatched car and load explosives? Is the activity of Islamic Fundamentalist and political opponents, which was championed by CPC agants, supporters and sponsors.
We cannot allow ACN and CPC to benefit from this insecurity politically. Am disappointed on why the CAN and some Yorubas disgracefully wish to compensate the Boko Haram and Boko Buhari for they has done to Southerners, Christians and good Nigerians from North by merging with CPC? Is it showing how desperate both of them are? Now, they want to convince fools. NO.

I totally agree with Malam Nuhu RIBADU . He spoke many people’s mind. As for those attacking him for what he said and did previously , don’t blame the man he was a lone rager in the mist of people who do not see anything wrong with corruption so he had to adapt and then fight from within. He is a very patriotic man . As for Asiwaju Tinibu he is not corrupt by any standard but he is an agent of change and such people check your history must use any means to change the society. To my mind PDP, as a party, could not have been responsible for boko haram who have been bombing, burning churches and killing innocent Nigerians with careless abandon. PDP as the party in government could not have conpired against itself to make the country ungovernable for its own government. That sounds so, so illogical. But on the contrary, what actually surprises me is the studied silence of both ACN and CPC over the atrocities been committed by this satanic sect called boko haram. Why has neither ACN nor CPC as a party made any public pronouncement outrightly condemning boko haram’s insurgence? Or is it that they have sympathy for them because both parties have been advocating for dialogue between government and boko haram. Moreover if APC is truly on a rescue mission let them put the merger to work right away. Let all their members in the NASS come together and make the difference and the necessary impact in governance. Action, people say, is louder than voice. Then all Nigerians will know if this is the party we will give our votes come 2015 because we all desire a change not just for the sake of it but for improvement of our lives and the future.
I advice any sensible Nigerians to ignore this foolish man used and dumped by OBJ.
