Ojukwu’s Will to be read today

From CHIDI NNADI, Enugu

The Will left by the late Igbo leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu will be read today in the Enugu High Court, Daily Sun can reveal. Ojukwu died on November 26 last year in a London hospital. The registrar of the Enugu High Court had during the week directed the Ojukwu family members to come to the court today for the reading of the Will.

According to some legal experts proficient in the writing of Wills, Ojukwu’s Will was expected to put to rest the number of children the Ikemba Nnewi had, as the Will was expected to allocate resources to them. The reading of the Will, the experts also said was expected to settle some of the problems that cropped up in the Ojukwu family, particularly that of who is his original first son. After the death of the Ezeigbo Gburugburu, Debe Sylvester Ojukwu and Emeka Ojukwu Jnr had risen up to claim to be his first son: “So, it is hoped that when the Will is read today, the late Igbo leader may have laid down some clues on how to resolve this issue.”

It is also hoped that Ojukwu might deem it necessary to state who replaced him in the Ojukwu Transport Company where he served as one of the directors before he died, they guessed. Besides these two critical areas, the experts said Ojukwu’s eight children would also know the property and other assets bequeathed to them by their father. But as Ojukwu was known not to have amassed wealth when he was alive, the children may not have much to share, more so when Ojukwu returned some of the landed property donated to him back to their original owners.

Please the Children should take whatever the great Ojukwu has willed to them individually and allow him to continue to enjoy his eternal rest in the blossom of almighty God. There should be no hanky-panky on the will.

Ojukwu never contested for Governorship in Anambra state. The fact that he lost an election is not a sign of disappointment. The situation on ground was a case of Igbo NPP and Ojukwu’s appreciation of NPN that politically “pardoned” him. His followership was not the type one that has disappointed controls. I think that the Igbos appreciated him. I don’t think they were disappointed at all.

U dey mind those hoodlums whose life-span shortens whenever they hear a good news about the Igbos.

Over to u two, saka n david, why do u have to insult de Yorubas whenever anybody make a coment. U ‘re not even sure of de race of de writer. It is very bad of anybody to prejudge others. We all know that ur attitude is very bad toward Yorubas n u know what, Yorubas don’t care about what u jews thinks of them,. What matter most to all Yorubas is what they think of themselves. No matter what nigeria has or achieve inside this nigeria, they will always be number second to de Yorubas. This is a fact not hearsay. By de way, i don’t care whether ojukwu’s will is read or not. Are u telling me that ojukwu did not know which male child he had first. If that’s de case, am afraid u jews are something else.

PRINCE `T` AND MARTIN, LET IT BE KNOWN TO YOU AND SOME OTHER CLOWNS LIKE YOU THAT OJUKWU NEVER CONTESTED FOR GOV IN ANAMBARA RATHER SENATE AND NPN, DECIDED TO SHUT THE DOOR OF SENATE AGAINST HIM BECAUSE ACCORDING TO THEM, THEY WERE APPREHENSIIVE OF THE FACT THAT THEY MAY NOT HANDLE HIM AT THE SENATE BECAUSE HE WAS A MAN THAT CAN NOT BE COMPROMISED. THEY GAVE THE SEAT TO ONWUDIWE EVEN AS OJUKWU WON HIM , SO IT IS WRONG TO SAY THAT THE IGBOS WERE DISAPPOINTED IN OJUKWU, HIS BURIAL WAS THE GREATEST GATHERING OF BURIAL CEREMONEY IN HISTORY, GO AND CHECK THE RECORDS THAT EVEN AWO`S BURIAL DID NOT RECORD SUCH CROWD . WE IGBOS ARE NOT THE ONLY NATION THAT ARE PRUOD OF OJUKWU BUT THE WHOLE PEOPLE OF THE EARTH WHO PREACHES DIGINITY TO HUMAN RACE. HE WAS AND IS AND WILL STILL REMAIN THE CRUSDER OF FREEDOM AND EQUALITY OF LIFE IN AN EGALITARIAN SOCIATY, THESE WERE HIS IDEAS AND NON OF YOUR YORUBA LEADER HAS THOSE IDEAS RATHER SECTIONAL AND TRIBALISTIC IDEAS, WE WILL IMORTALIZE OJUKWU AND HIS IDEAS, IT IS OUR DUTY WE OWE THE WHOLE WOLRD AND NOT EVEN YOU MARTIN AND PRINCE T CAN STOP THAT. EDUCATED ILLITRATES LIKE BOTH OF YOU.

Am totally disappointed by what i read concerning the dispute between two sons of ojukwu as to who is the first son.I know one Sylvester ojukwu we attended school in late 80s.from his account he is definitely the first son. But one emeka jnr is saying he is the first son.I do hope the will will settle the issue .But more importantly, the junior emeka should know that is immoral to contest such in Africa.I await eagerly the reading of the will.

I do not subscribe to name calling and tribal degradation on issues that should be reasoned objectively. I know that every body is entitled to his/her opinion that means never expect everybody to comment alike on a matter. I know some comments could be hurting but even at that it takes some level of courtesy and discipline to repremind. This is what educated and objective minds stood for. Igbos and Yorubas are two great tribes who are more friends than enemies they think they are in my view. There are great brains from both sides as well as mediocre s let’s be frank to this fact and hence get to acknowledge the great and positive sides of each other leaving out our flaws. By this we can make more progress.
