What do you expect in a place where the few rich get richer while the vast majority who are poor get poorer. If you visit Bayelsa state, you will weep at the level of abject poverty that beset the people of the state. Poor health care, infrastructure at zero level. Imagine a state with just 8 local government but with just one functioning half way. The second Largest local government (Sagbama LGA) and the oldest at the time of this post does not have electricity and it has been so since the state was created. 80% of Bayelsa Indigenes don’t have toilet but use waterside each time they want to defecate. The youth are even kind enough to make the kidnapping in low key. 90% of Bayelsans are very poor.
