From TUNDE OMOLEHIN, Sokoto

No fewer than 27 people were killed in a motor accident that involved a trailer, conveying cattle and passengers in Sokoto State, officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have confirmed yesterday. The accident, which occurred on Monday along Ruwa Wuri-Tangaza Road in Sokoto State also claimed lives of a number of cows and sheep loaded in the affected trailer, while 18 people also sustained injuries.

They are now receiving medical attention at Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto. According to an eyewitness, the driver of the trailer with registration number Sokoto: XA 443 SAA, lost control, while heading to Warri in Delta State and it plunged into a river close to Masallaci Village in Tangaza Local Government Area. FRSC officials confirmed that the people involved in the accident had since been buried in Bagida Village. Speaking to journalists, the Sector Commander of the FRSC, Sokoto, Dr. Umaru Aliyu said: “Our findings revealed that the accident occurred due to over-loading and speeding, of which 27 people died and 15 were seriously injured.”

The FRSC boss advised motorists to adhere to the traffic laws and avoid any habits that could endanger lives, while on the roads. He added thus: “Those injured are receiving treatment at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, UDUTH, Sokoto, while the driver of the trailer and his motor boy fled.”

Usman! Govt. will not condole with them because in the thinking of our govt.we are not important to them. That is why our roads are the way they are today, that is why there is no good drinkable water in our urban and rural areas, that is why our govt.does not care whether we live or die. Nigeria govt is self centred, everything is about them not us.If it were to be minister, senator, dis(honourable) member, special this and that etc, before now both back and front pages of news papers will be fill with condolence messages. I Wish the Almighty to grant their souls internal rest,as I extend my condolence to the bereaved families, may God give them the fortitude to bear the loss.

A Trailer loaded with cows, sheep and humans what a mix-up! The bottomline of all these happenings is poverty. A very rich country endorwed with numerous natural resources but majority of its citizens are poor. What a curse! I weep for Nigeria.

Wilson Godwin has said it all. Nigerian must arise and shun religion and ethnic sentiments in order to bring good leaders on board.

Can you imagine, a giant country endowed with natural resources, yet 95% of it’s people are suffering from poverty. If not poverty, why do human beings mix up with cattles and sheeps in the same trailer? Trailers that are meant for carrying of loads are now being used for carrying human beings and authorities are seeing it, but nothing can be done because, all they are after is how to loot the nation’s treasury so that the poor masses who voted them to power should continue suffering. God would surely judge.

How i wish many of the youths of Nigeria can start to reasoning and realising the much damages these so called politicians have done to the masses.Forget about ethinic and religion and face the reality, otherwise, the future of this country is in mess. Non of the rulers thinks about the masses rather for themselves and their families and that is why they left the Roads unrepaired, no water, no hospital, no schools, teachers aer not payed as at when due and that account for Nigerians students rushing to Ghana universities for high fees while these rulers sent their childeren abroad for studies. It is high time Nigerian youths to come together and hold the Bull by the horn in other to arest this urgly situation in Nigeria, but who will start it? that is the question. I am afraid because of the betrayal attitude of a particular Tribe in Nigeria that can disappoint you at the last minute.Count your teeth with your tongue and know the betrayers in Nigeria. THE YORUBAS OF COUSE.

Lets face the fact, and pray for the death of all our leaders because they don’t even want us to live, all they care is for themselves only. Bible said it all, there is no peace for the wicked. They are all wicked leaders the deserve death too. Nonsense…
