One I spent with the less privilegedJulius Agwu, comedian

It’s the one I spent with the less privileged kids at Heart of Gold Hospice. Valentine is a time to show love to the less privileged.

My husband spoilt me silly

-Funke Etti, actress

I had my most memorable Val two years ago. My husband spoiled me silly. He bought me a perfume and Rolex wristwatch.

Day Goldie died

-Cossy Orjiakor, actress

I can’t remember the best Valentine I ever had but I still remember the worst. It was when Goldie died in February 14, 2013. This year, I will celebrate my Val with my pink new car; my car’s my Val. I’ll also enjoy some time with my man on Skype because he’s out of town.

I got flowers without money

–Bose Oladimeji, actress

My worst Valentine was when I received a bouquet of flowers as a Val gift without money and provisions, and it was so annoying. Flowers aren’t appreciated in our culture but I’m still hoping for the best Valentine’s gift.

My guy gave me many goodies

-Amanda Ebiye, actress

My best Valentine moment was when I was at Benson Idahosa University. I had all sorts of gifts but this guy travelled out for Christmas holidays and came back with so many goodies for me and kept them till Val’s Day. He took me out and we had dinner for two; it was so much fun.

My friend made last year’s Val a blast!

-Bayray Mcnwizu, actress

I wish the Valentine season would endure throughout the year. Last year’s Valentine was really memorable. It’s also my best friend’s birthday, and on that day, we were both working on set but unknown to him, I’d planned a surprise and he was so delighted when I unveiled it!

I’m expecting marriage proposal

-Tracy Daniels, actress

I’m expecting a marriage proposal this Valentine. I’m not revealing it yet because of ‘bad belle’ people and I’m sealing the relationship with Holy Ghost fire. My most memorable Valentine was last year when I got new car.

Day I gave birth to my daughter

-Lolo, radio presenter

It was the day my daughter was born in 2015, and that made it my most memorable Valentine. This Valentine’s Day, I just want to be with my children baking cakes and candy.

My ex took me to Dubai

–Hauwa Allahbura, actress

My most remarkable Valentine was 2014 when my ex-lover took me on a trip to Dubai. We stayed at the Buruj Al Arab where I was treated like royalty. We had a very exotic dinner and a time of our lives. This Valentine, I only have plans for myself, as I am single. I intend to throw a small house party for close friends and visit a small place where people stay in tents close to me.

I had it in boarding school

–Tope Tedela, actor

I had my most memorable Valentine while I was in the boarding house. Some people put some craps in a pack of sugar and wrapped them in a gift bag; it was crazy! However, I’ll be working on this Valentine’s Day; it will be a miracle if I get a piece of cake.

I’ve never had memorable Valentine

–Uche Ogbodo, actress

I don’t have a memorable Valentine experience and I’ve never really had a Val. I’m not really about having one person as my Val. I love to share and I believe that’s what Valentine is all about. This season, I wish to celebrate on the streets with beggars and love-starved individuals.

I had best Val growing up

Daniel K. Daniel (DKD), singer

All my memories of Valentine Day while growing up were great. I spent Valentine with my family and loved ones mostly but in the past five years I’ve always been working on Val’s Day.

One I spent with widows

-Queen Blessing Ebigieson, actress

My most memorable Valentine was the one I spent with widows through my Foundation. This Valentine won’t be different, as I will also spend it with widows. I am expecting to have as much fun as they will have.

I’ll have a boat cruise

-Nkechi Emmanuel, actress

I have never had a sweet Valentine all my life, but I am hoping on God that this one will be better and special as I plan to be on a boat cruise.

I hope things get better and improve so as to celebrate with the less privileged too.

We had massage and dinner party

–Caroline King, actress

For me, love should be celebrated everyday by doing those things that may seem mundane but pull on the heartstrings of your spouse or partner. I like Isi-ewu, in fact, that’s the first meal I ever shared with my husband, so when he goes out sometimes and comes back with a bowl of Isi-ewu, my heart swells with joy because it makes me know that I am on his mind. Some years back, his job was going to take him out of town around my birthday and he decided to take me along with him. We stayed in Hotel du Lac, he surprised me with a couples’ massage and a small dinner party with some friends. It was quite memorable for me.

I’ll stay indoor

-Ras Kimono, musician

On Valentine’s Day, I don’t have a show, so I’ll stay indoor.

I’ll play for fans

-Ayo Balogun, musician

I want to make money on Valentine’s Day by playing for my fans. Val or no Val, life continues.

It’s special day

-Dele Abiodun, musician

Valentine should be preserved as a special day rather than turning it into a sexual day. Age has nothing to do with it; even when I was younger, I never celebrated Valentine.

I’ll spend Val with my lover in romantic way

-Yeni Kuti, singer/ dancer

Valentine should be a day for sober reflection instead of people gallivanting up and down. Because I’m in a relationship I want to spend the day with my lover in a very romantic way

I’m not into Valentine

-Joseph Benjamin, actor

I am not into Valentine. I believe every day should be a celebration of love and life.

My hubby and I had romantic dinner

Mimi Orjiekwe, actress

The most memorable Valentine was the one I had last year with my husband, Charles Billion. We went to a spar, had a cool bath, enjoyed ourselves and did lots of other things in there (laughs). After the spar, we also went on a romantic dinner date. It was all fun throughout the Valentine period. I must confess I fell in love with him all over again.
