Dear Sir, I think the issue of Awolowo is over bloated. I think it diminishes the Igbo stature as a people to join issues with dark activities of a mere cabinet minister under an inexperienced military regime of the era. The war was fought without rules and at a time global enlightenment was low and the nation has since moved on. What ever happened in that war should be seen as a sacrifice of the Igbo  made to retain peace, justice, fairness and equity in Nigeria.

The Igbo example should educate generations of Nigeria to stand up against evil at any time without let or fear! This is what the Igbo should pursue not finger pointing.  Some cowards who brand themselves progressives should look at the mother of all  sacrifices bequeathed to our nation in pursuit of peace and fairness in the early years and know  who the real progressives are. nonyealoys@yahoo.com
