Muslim staff and students of the Federal College of Education (Technical) Umunze, Anambra State, have commended the Provost of the institution, Prof. Josephat Ogbuagu, for approving a place of worship in the college.

The group said Ogbuagu responded promptly to their request for a piece of land within the college for the building of a mosque.

The Amir, Sada Danladi, in a letter of appreciation jointly signed with the Secretary, Lukman Bashiru, said Ogbuagu proved himself to be a unique leader for all, by granting the request. He said the Provost further promised to clear the land for the take-off of the building project, noting that he has demonstrated serious commitment to the initiative. The group further commended the Management of the college for the religious harmony existing in the college, in spite of the diverse faith practiced by the thousands of students and members of staff.
