The Kebbi State Government has increased fund for technical and innovative in the state from N200 million to N480 million.
The technical and innovative team which is under the leadership of Deputy Governor of the State, Samaila Yombai Dabai, has been responsible for empowering youths who are building locally-made cars and other useful technologies.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu confirmed this, on Monday, at the First Kebbi Youth mentorship lecture in honour of Mallam Jelani Aliyu the world acclaimed technology designer and Director General of Nigerian’s Automotive Designer Developmental Council, held at Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin-Kebbi.

The governor also said the purpose of the increment of the funds was to encourage and empower youths in the state.
Governor Bagudu, who advised them not to waste their times, energy on social media and  drugs said: “Don’t limit your yourselves that you can do it. Don’t think any substances can enhanced your knowledge. God has given you natural brain you need to excel like Jelani Aliyu.”
While addressing youths at the venue, Mr. Jelani Aliyu said  that Nigeria should be ready to adopt usages of electrical vehicles within the nearest future and forget over reliance on crude oil to survive.
He explained that advanced countries are moving fast, thinking how to manufacturing electrical vehicles that would be driving itself.

  “Nigerians must started think how to ensure our youths know about electrical vehicles because automobile vehicles cannot last. Whether we like it or not, that future will come and Nigerians oil will not be important to advanced countries any more”.
Aliyu who graduated from Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic advised youths to shun drugs saying ” you can’t think straight under drugs or alcohol. You can’t  think positively under the influence of drugs.
” Don’t waste your time and energy on Facebook ready to utilize your time and be focus. Don’t allow anybody to force you into what you don’t have passion for. We must double up to meet up with other world “.
He added that youths must start exploring natural gifts in Nigeria to ensure the country forge ahead in technologies,innovative and economy stressed that all raw materials needed by them to succeed are available within their domains.
