Come August 18. 2017, the executive vice chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, would present the inaugural lecture at Bayero University Kano (BUK), Kano State.
The lecture is titled “Diversifying Nigeria’s Economy through Telecommunications Sector.” It is expected to attract the best of the university community and beyond.
Earlier this year, the erudite professor joined the league of eminent Nigerians who delivered the Convocation Lecture of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he spoke on “The Role of ICT Infrastructure in Tertiary Education in Nigeria: NCC Interventions.”
In the same vein, Danbatta, who presented the October 2016 lecture of Nigerian Academy of Engineering, was also the first CEO of the NCC to address the Senior Executive Course of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies on Thursday, March 31, 2016.
