An officer of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), who mistook a wood trader for a smuggler and allegedly shot and killed her at the border town of Ilase, in Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State last Thursday, has been handed over to the police for prosecution.

Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State at the weekend dismissed rumours making the round that he has differences with his Deputy, Mrs. Grace Tomori, saying that the rumor was aimed at causing disaffection capable of destabilising the state.
