Model-turned gospel musician, John Agoha, hit the limelight in 2010 after releasing his hit song, Omalciha, which was followed by Selense and Chokomilo featuring Dami Kranne. In this brief interview with TS Weekend, the artist whose latest single, Jehovah, is on massive rotation, opened up on his sexcapades before he became a born again Christian.
“I thought that it was fun, on facebook and twitter it was hot! Wherever I went to perform, there were so many girls. Girls just wanted to know me. I can remember very well I had crushes on facebook and twitter. There was no instagram then.”
Did he take advantage of the girls?  His response: “Girls would bombard my shows and then started calling, pinging and adding me online. Back then the feeling was so high I thought I was up there. Actually, not all of them… there were some. I wasn’t a saint I must confess; I took advantage of the beautiful ones. There were lots of girls, I mean pretty girls. I loved them more if they came with flat tummies.
“I thought it was fun. I had done tours all over. I had four secular videos and I had done tours in Europe. There was this party we had in Dubai and lots of these Arab girls were going crazy all over me. The venue of the show was Marina Hotel Apartments; it was massive!
I was planning to tour America when I got the calling. All that is in the past. That lifestyle is no longer attractive to me. Right now, I am happy because I am touching lives.”
Following the success of Jehovah,  Agoha is set to release the video of the wave-making song on Friday July 15.
