Ahmed Musa will miss today’s Saudi Arabia league match away at Al Batin, as he has to attend to some personal issues back in Nigeria.

A source close to the Super Eagles star told SCORENigeria he headed to Jos Wednesday by road to visit his mother after he had returned to Abuja from a 2019 AFCON qualifier in Tunisia with the national team earlier in the morning.

It will be the first league game he will miss after scoring four goals in five games thus far.
His club Al Nassr are top of the table with 15 points from five matches, two points clear of closest rivals Al Hilal.

Al Batin are 13th on the table with four points after five rounds of matches.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Musa has drummed support for the Nigeria national amputee team that will be playing at the Amputee World Cup in Mexico from October 17.

Aside joining his teammates to contribute to the just cause, captain Ahmed Musa who plays for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia has called on Nigerians to give support to the team.

“We know the condition of he country now but I am going to call on everyone who has the passion and privilege to support them with any amount. Apart from that we have to give them all the support they need, pray for them and wish them the best of luck.

I and my colleagues have done our best but I am sure other well meaning Nigerians will also render help.”
Nigeria is one of the 46 countries currently playing amputee football in the world. The team missed out on the 2010 and 2014 editions due to lack of funds.
