A boy, aged 11, has been slaughtered to death in Kano by his abductors after his parents failed to pay a ransom of N500, 000 .

The body of the deceased, whose name was given as Musa Salisu, was found on Tuesday morning, according to the police in Kano.

Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Magaji Musa Majia, who confirmed the tragic incident, disclosed that the boy was sent on an errand by his father, but failed to return home.

According to him, the deceased, who is a Primary 6 pupil in one of the schools, was abducted by unknown people at about 2pm on Monday in Naibawa quarters in the state capital.

DSP Magaji disclosed that so far two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Alhaji Abubakar Kafinta who a relatives of the deceased reflected that, “it was not immediately clear that the boy was abducted, until three hours later when an unidentified person phoned the family.

He said that the abductors demanded for N500,000 ransom, so as to release the boy.

According to the late Musa’s uncle “the matter was promptly reported to the police, we made efforts to meet their demand”.

He said that the family contacted the same line only to learn that the boy has been slaughtered.

The abductors further gave us detailed description of where they deposited the corpse on eastern bypass, Kano.
“We have recovered his body, performed the Fidau and buried him at Naibawa Cemetery” he stated.

it could be recalled that the business of kidnapping has been booming the state. Only a few days ago, the state police Command paraded over 30 kidnappers who were arrested in tne last one and half months in the state.
