A support group of Kogi State governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello says they have finalized arrangements to invite the former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu to the state to deliver a lecture on mainstreaming Nd’Igbo in Nigeria Politics

The coordinator of the planned event, Barrister Moses Okezie -Okafor told journalists in Lokoja on Thursday that the event is organized by the Nd’Igbo Support Group For Governor Yahaya Bello.

He said the occasion scheduled for July 29,would offer the Igbo community in Kogi State the opportunity to interact with Kalu on the fate of the Nd’Igbo in Nigeria politics and the way forward for the Igbo.

Okezie-Okafor, the Director-General , Research and Development, office of the Governor, Kogi State said the lecture, which is to be equally chaired by Kalu, would have the executive governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello as special guest.

The Special Assistant on Media to the former governor, Mr. Peter Eze, confirmed Kalu’s acceptance to deliver the lecture.

He said Kalu at the lecture, would attempt to x-ray the relationship between the exceptional qualities Nd’Igbo possess and electoral value they wield wherever they are resident in Nigeria.

“He would also share important insights on whether Nd’Igbo stand a better chance of achieving her aspirations through active political participation in an evolving Nigeria than through isolationist agitations,” Eze said.

The organisers said the grand occasion will hold at Imperial Marquée & Events Centre, Old Poly Quarters, Lokoja and pledged to ensure a well packaged and exciting event
