May discuss constitutional amendment, healthcare, others

The first Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) meeting is currently underway in the State House Conference Center, Abuja.
The meeting which started at 9:00pm is being presided over by the NGF Chairman and Zamfara State Governor, Abdulazeez Yari.
The meeting is meant to get briefings from the constitutional amendment committee headed by Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State, health agenda for 2018 which is to get the commitment of Governors to universal health care coverage, polio eradication and nutrition, among others.
Those in attendance as at the time of filing this report, Borno, Kashim Shettima, Ebony, Dave Umahi, Edo, Godwin Obaseki, Kano Umar Ganduje, Jigawa, Ibrahim Hassan, Plateau Simon Lalong, Kebbi, Atiku Bagudu, Delta, Ifeanyi Okowa, Kwara, Abdulfatah Ahmed, Akwa Ibom, Udom Emmanuel, Gombe, Ibrahim Dankwanbo and Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State.

Deputy governors in attendance are Anambra, Dr. Nkem Okeke, Benue, Benson Abounu, Yobe, Abubakar Alli, Imo, Eze Madumere, Osun, Titi Laoye-Tomori, Rivers Ipalibo Banigo, Ogun, Yetunde Onanuga and Enugu, Cecelia Ezeilo.
Others are deputy governors of Niger, Katsina, Ekiti, Lagos, Sokoto and Bauchi.
