The national conference of the Chairmen of State Universal Education Board (SUBEB), across the 36 states include Abuja, has elected Hon. Murtala Adamu Jangebe, as its new chairman of the Dean of SUBEB chairmen in Nigeria.

Jangebe, an Executive Chairman of the Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZSUBEB), was elected during the board 17th Quarterly meeting of management and chairmen held in Lagos last week.

He is the longest serving and most experience SUBEB chairman in Nigeria having been appointed in September, 2011 by Governor Abdul-azeez Yari Abubakar of Zamfara state.

He succeeded Mr. Aloa Yariman Fuga the immediate past chairman of Edo SUBEB.

The meeting which was hosted by Lagos state government and coordinated by the UBEC, Abuja successfully ratified issues and new strategic ways to be addressed for the improvement of release of intervention fund for the development of basic education in Nigeria among states.

In a goodwill message, Jangebe assured his colleagues of his commitment and readiness toward ensuring development and progress of the board activities in the country.
