Humour merchant, Francis Agoda aka I Go Dye, has commended the military for a job well done for their conduct and timely intervention in the IPOB agitation in the southeastern part of the country.

According to the ace comedian, if governors, and legislators both from the state and federal, had done their jobs, the military would have no business meddling in civil matters. He said: “Let me remind us that almost all democratic institutions failed to mediate on the issues prior to this time, until the military stepped in to control further damage. I keeping wondering what were the legislative members of both the state and Federal Houses of Assembly doing all along, to redeem the situation or proffer as an alternative, to peacefully resolve the issues before the military got involved?

“In as much as we trade blames now on the activities of the military, which as an institution did not create the problems in the first place, because 18 years now in our democratic process is enough to provide good social welfare for citizens of all the regions, but we are faced with a situation that has placed more burden on the military, which is not in our best interest.

The comedian, however, sued for peace and enjoined Nigerians to fire up their loyalty to the country, pleading that the time of blame game is gone.

“This is not a time to trade blames, but a time to sit back as patriots and wake up our loyalty to Nigeria. We all have a responsibility to preserve this nation for our children, but the military has been more outstanding in this regard, we all need to appreciate them for their service to the nation,” he added.
