The Presidential Committee on Victims Support Fund is set to distribute text books, exercise books, writing materials, school bags and sandals to over 50,000 school pupils in the North East.

This is contained in a statement issued by Mrs Rotkatmwa Gokum, the Head of Public Affairs of the fund on Wednesday in Yola.

The materials would be given to the school pupils in Borno, Yobe, Adamawa and Edo states under the fund’s Educational Project.

According to Gokum, the fund launched its first phase of Educational Support Programme in Mubi in Adamawa, targeting school children affected by insurgency in the North East.

“Over fifty thousand children and teachers will benefit from the project which will be executed in two phases.
