RECENT TRAVEL

Cyprus was my most recently visited country. I was there a little over a month ago. It was one country I had always wanted to visit on my Bucket List due to its vast history. When the opportunity arose to attend a friend’s 50th birthday, I jumped at it. It was indeed a memorable trip as I had the opportunity of touring and visiting many historical landmarks. The best memory for me was getting to walk on the Salt Lake in Larnaca.

FAVOURITE CITY

Dubai remains one of my favourite cities of all times because it ticks all the right boxes for me. I consider Dubai luxury personified.

I love the finer things of life and I’m currently building a luxury fashion brand and travel company. Hence, my love for Dubai, where I hope to expand my businesses to in the near future.

I’m always in awe of Sheik Zayed Road and its beautiful skyline whenever I stay there. I also love the Jumeirah axis where the Burj Al Arab is located.

FAVOURITE MEAL ABROAD

I absolutely love seafood, although I tend to experiment with the local food wherever I visit, despite being a picky eater.

DREAM DESTINATION

I plan to travel the world so I have several dream destinations on my bucket list. At the moment I’ve only been to 30 countries. So I have a long way to go as there are about 196 countries in the world.

However, top on my list are the five Scandinavian countries, which I’m scheduled for in a few days. I’ll be touring Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland next week.

UNFORGETTABLE MONUMENTS

I saw some of the most amazing monuments in Prague, Czech Republic.

They have managed to retain their history. The castle was a beautiful sight to behold. While walking on Charles Bridge, I felt like I was in the medieval era.

LESSONS FROM TRAVEL

Related News

I’ve learnt to be more tolerant and appreciative of the cultures of others.

Travelling is indeed very educative and informative.

TRAVEL ADVICE

As a certified travel consultant, one advice I give to prospective clients is to try to take vacation annually.

The myth that you need to break a bank to travel is false.

There are several budget-friendly and affordable travel options and destinations to cater for everyone. Planning is essential to get very good offers.

BEST HOTEL

The best hotel for me so far would be The Aqua Luxury Suites in Santorini Island, Greece. It is a luxury boutique hotel. I had a private hot tub outside my apartment, which was overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the Caldera (volcanic eruption remains). Santorini Island has one of the best sunrise and sunsets I’ve seen so far. I literally watched and photographed the sunrise and sunset daily during my stay there.

CULTURE SHOCK ABROAD

I was fascinated and shocked in Cozumel Island, Mexico when I discovered that they have some beliefs similar to what we have in Nigeria and parts of Africa. I learnt from my tour guide that they also believe in life after death, reincarnation, voodoo, etc.

I also watched a cultural dance troupe performance. The performance with flutes was similar to what you would see in Nigeria.

FAVOURITE ACTIVITIES ABROAD

Anywhere I visit, I set aside time to tour and learn more about the culture, history and major landmarks.
