She’s sexy, hot and single. Is she searching? Only Yetunde Aderibigbe‎ can tell. In this interview, the actress, who began her career five years ago and has featured in over 30 movies, bares it all.

When did you venture into acting?  

I came into the movie industry in 2012 through a friend of mine who introduced me to her boss, Omogoriola Hassan. I joined his group called Neehass Productions for proper training, and to God be the glory, here I am today. 

How many movies have you featured in?

I have featured in over 30 movies including ‘Tania’, ‘Anota’, ‘Osuwo’, ‘Oloburo’, ‘Omo Jabezzi’ and my own production, ‘Ohun Ti Mofe’. 

What is your parents’ reaction to your acting career? 

My mother was in total support of my acting career. But my dad never supported me; he believes acting is for lazy people. 

Have you ever been sexually harassed in the industry?

Not at all, no one has ever harassed me.  

Can you act nude? 

Yes, I can act nude because I am comfortable with my body. But being a Yoruba girl, you know our culture does not accept that. 

Which of your roles did you find most challenging?

That was the role I played as a snake. In the film, my producer insisted I work with a live snake; it was very terrifying. But because I love my job and also believe in hard work, I just had to work according to instruction.  

What’s your unique selling point?

I don’t really think I have a particular selling point, but my uniqueness in interpreting roles made me Yetunde Aderibigbe in the movie industry.  

How will you describe yourself?

I am a lady with so much confidence and ‎I love and cherish peace a lot.

What are your likes and dislikes?  

Oh! I am a person who loves the truth, no matter what. Even if it is hot, I will be pleased once it’s the absolute truth. And for my dislike, I hate lies with passion. 

What’s the inspiration for your new movie, Omo Jabezzi?

Yes, I got the inspiration from God and the happenings in our society. The movie is about the extent girls of nowadays are willing to go for money. 

What else do you do aside being an actor?

Aside being an actor, I am also a skin care therapist. I sell all kinds of skin care products, and mix creams too.

Between skin therapy and acting, which do you find more profitable?

Honestly, they are both lucrative, but at the moment, being a skin therapist pays me more. In the movie industry, we mostly work for people due to personal relationship. In that case, professionalism suffers and that affects remuneration. But in my business as a skin therapist, you pay for whatever product you buy.

Who are your role models in the industry? 

I have so much respect and admiration for Aunty Joke Silva and Aunty Mo’ Abudu; they are both good at what they do. 

Is Yetunde Aderibigbe single and searching?

Yes! I am very single and searching. 

Who is your kind of man?

Hmm… I like a man with the fear of God, a man who is ready to support what I do. 

Who is your crush in the industry? 

I’m not crushing on anyone at the moment.  

What project are you working on at the moment? 

I am presently working on a new project entitled, ‘Scam’. It’s a movie that centers on fraudulent people in the society, and believe me, it’s going to blow your mind.
