Idia Aisien is an on-air-personality, who recently won the 2017 Eloy Awards for TV Personality of the Year. Born in Nigeria to Nigerian and Cameroonian parents, she is the daughter of Dr. Joe Aisien, a champagne, wine and spirits magnate and Emmanuella Aisien, a jeweler and philanthropist. Prior to returning to Nigeria she worked with prestigious companies, like Fox 5 News, the AARP Foundation, Discovery Communications, the Foreign Policy Initiative, the United Nations and Atlas Mara. She has also modeled for many brands, such as BMW, Vogue, LAN Airlines, Black Opal, Nivea, Alice + Olivia, J Brand, Cashhimi, Samantha Pleet, Jovani, Evelyn Lambert, Nikki Angelique, An Alili and Sway Hair Ltd.

She currently hosts two shows on Spice Television. The first is Style 101 while the other, “You Got Issues” focuses on relationship matters and other social issues. It is noteworthy that she was nominated for the Future Awards Africa Nigeria Prize for On Air Personality (visual). In this interview, she talks about her favourites.

What is your favourite colour?

My favorite color is red, because it holds so much power and passion.

Your favourite food?

I love anything spicy and I’m a huge Asian foodie

Your favourite fashion accessory?

I love mules because they dress up any outfit without making it look like you’re trying too hard

Your favourite holiday spot?

I love New York City for the nightlife, Europe for shopping and Marrakech, Morocco for the ambience and culture.

My favourite music is house music and I’m a huge fan of Afro beats as well.

I love running and I’m fascinated with surfing.

Game of Thrones and Black Mirror are my favourite TV shows

Your favourite role model?

Other than my parents, I love Oprah Winfrey for how she has been able to build a television empire and still has such a giving heart/spirit. I also love Beyoncé Knowles’ brand and work ethic.
