He pleaded with all aggrieved members of the party to forget the past and reunite since the party has a candidate, so as to ensure that PDP wins the poll.   Speaking in Awka, the Anambra State capital, during a meeting the party’s governorship candidate, Mr. Oseloka Obaze held with the local government chairmen and secretaries of the party and some stakeholders, Obi said he was a beneficiary of the confusion in the PDP while he was an All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), first as a candidate and later as governor. He  urged members of the PDP to work as a team.    “Today I am a bonafide member of the PDP and we will be in the field to run this election the way PDP has never done. We won’t run it anyhow. We will be aggressive. We have finished the primary election and there is nowhere in the world where primary elections are held without issues. But after that, all of us should come together for the good of the party. If because you are aggrieved, you decide to go and work for another party, you will be a visitor there.   “I want to beg members of PDP, you know I was the beneficiary of the confusion you had before during elections but I want us to stop that now.”

He said that the party has the best candidate in Obaze stressing that anyone that was campaigning must tell the people what he would do or what he has done if he is an incumbent.

He said that Obaze was behind the success of his government as the Secretary to State Government (SSG), noting that he was the one that brought the MDGs that helped in the work done by his administration.
