Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, HAS  thankd Abians for their love and solidarity, but asked  them to  please return to their usual daily pursuits and end further solidarity visits associated with the legal tussle going on in the state.
He expressed gratitude  to all those who prayed for him, paid solidarity visits and called to express support to him and his government and prayed that  Almighty God will  reward and answer all good prayers.
He enjoins all Abians, residents and friends of the state to continue praying for him and his government from their homes, churches and other worship places;  as the Biblical King Solomon asked in 1King 3:9 “who is able to govern this great people” of God without Him?
He said that he has taken note of  costs and risk of  Abians who mobilize to Umuahia to pay solidarity visits to him, almost on daily basis, and  wishes to underline the fact that their sacrifices are well appreciated.
He promised  to further demonstrate his appreciation by waking up daily more determined and ready do his best to serve Abians better and take decisions that will enhance the well being of the people.
Ikpeazu also wishes to call on all Abians to return to their usual daily pursuits and end further solidarity visits associated with the tusle.
He expressed confident that the judiciary will deliver fair and equitable justice that will reaffirm the mandate given to him by the majority of Abians in the April 11th and 25th, 2015.
He also expressed gratitude  and appreciation  to  the seriousness of President Muhamadu  Buharis  fight against corruption, affirming that the rule of law must take its course in the state.
He said that his administration will continue to support the war against corruption as he is convinced that corruption, wherever it is found, is antithetical to peace and development of our people. END
