RECENTLY, Yemi Alade was appointed the Brand Ambassador, Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) and Africa Fashion Week Nigeria, (AFWN) at Ikoyi, Lagos. The musician’s career has been outstanding and impressive after she won the talent show and released Fimi sile and her Johnny was a block-buster that made her popular all over the world.

Africa Fashion Week Nigeria will be marking its 3rd year in the Nigerian fashion scene between July 1st and July 3rd later this year with a fashion exhibition. The event will feature budding and established designers. Yemi Alade spoke with Sunday Sun about her favourites at her unveiling as brand ambassador.

What’s your favourite colour?

I’m currently in love with a montage. It’s like yellow but not yellow. It’s like one thing they put inside hot dog that looks like yellow. Like burnt yellow a little. It’s nice on my skin.

Favourite food?

Edikang Ikong and wheat.

Favourite holiday spot?

I haven’t gone there yet, but at the moment, I would say Mombasa in Nairobi, Kenya.

Favourite weather?

Not too cold not too hot. Should be somewhere in the middle. Tepid.

I don’t have a favourite sports anymore. I used to love basketball.

My sunshades. Sunshades. I don’t go anywhere without them.

I’m in love with Michael Costello, a foreign designer but in Nigeria, I like Iconic In Vanity.
