These days, across the country, many religious organisations have been busy organising prayer meetings, fasting sessions and other activities where they cry to God to help in combating the current economic challenges pulverising the populace.

One of such churches constantly seeking the face of God so that the hardship in the land might soon become a thing of the past is The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries.

Recently, members of the church organised an international interdenominational crusade in Lagos. With the theme, ‘From Sorrow to Joy’. The General Overseer of the church, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, took the congregation through some power-packed bible ministrations, prayers and miracle healings.

The crusade, as usual, attracted a huge crowd, just as many participants admitted to witnessing the demonstration of God’s power that turned their sorrows to joy.

Many of the attendees said they encountered salvation, sanctification, Holy Ghost baptism, deliverance from spiritual limitation, demonic possession, barrenness of the womb as well as intellectual and financial barrenness. It also addressed physical challenges, such as paralyses of all kinds, diseases, sicknesses, economic and political problems. There was also an explosion of miracles, as many deaf and dumb, mentally derailed, the paralysed and others with different afflictions said they received their healing.

During his ministration, Muoka said God had seen the hopeless situation that Nigerians are subjected to, pointing out that prayers and exaltation offered to God at the crusade would surely turn all their sorrows to joy.

Muoka explained that the programme was designed as a proactive spiritual measure to checkmate the anticipated ugly political challenges of the country, saying that without doubt, the era of sorrow would end after the power-packed crusade.

He noted: “It does not matter the nature of the situation or challenge, how long the problems have been and who is behind them. God set aside the crusade to intervene in every human affair, as he did in times past. God will also arise, even in the political and economic circumstances of our country, to douse the tensions that have enveloped the horizons of the country.”

Muoka said it was never the will of God that the entire nation should remain under any affliction or despair and assured that Nigeria would be delivered and a new experience of peace and joy will come their way. “It does not matter the extent of the afflictions against the lives of Nigerians, their families and businesses; we are sure that God Almighty will do something new in them, especially those who set their feet to the programme, because when God determines to do a thing, nothing stops him.”

The clergyman advised that it would be difficult for God to answer the prayers of those who refused to flee from sins.

“It cannot be possible for people to make headway in life if they refuse to forgo their evil ways of gossiping, anger, lying, corruption, envy, hatred, blasphemy, disobedience, fornication, adultery, stealing and other sins,” he asserted.
