Nigeria’s grandmasters of data, Globacom on Sunday offered residents of Ijebu Ode and environs a sumptuous show as it organised its flagship comedy show, Glo Laffta Fest, in the city to mark the end of the Ramadan fast. At the event, iconic star Patience Ozokwor alias “Mama G” commended the telecoms giant for being the best supporter of entertainment in the country.

Mama G who spoke during the well attended show held at Spectralinks Hall in Imosan said her experience with the Globacom brand had been awesome and exhilarating, adding gleefully “nobody does it better than Glo in Nigerian entertainment”.

“Globacom has consistently supported entertainment since 2003. It is not a mean feat to select the best in the world of comedy on the African continent and bring them on stage with the best of Nollywood,” said Mama G, who also urged Nigerians to continue to support the Glo brand.

Also speaking, Bolaji Amusan popularly called “Mr Latin” commended Glo for actively engaging Nigerians with entertainment. He jocularly introduced himself as Glo Bolaji Amusan, adding that he was proud to associate with a company that has supported entertainment robustly. Ace comedians who dazzled attendees at the show included the sensational duo, Still Ringing, made up of Ojo Ladipupo Daniel and Ogunsina Ayodeji Samuel, Port Harcourt-based comedy gem, Arinze Baba, accomplished comics Acapella, Seyi Law, Gordons, and the don of comedy, Bright Okpocha, popularly called Basketmouth.
