Starting from tomorrow, viewers will begin to enjoy the regional auditions of kiddies reality show, God’s Children Great Talent (GCGT) season 7, which airs on cable channels including HIP TV, OH TV, Dove TV and Ebony Life TV.
Only recently, wannabes from the Lagos region stormed Ultima Studios, Lekki, Lagos to showcase their innate gifts before the scouts. The contestants hoped for a chance to be selected into the regional competition and become winner of GCGT season 7. The long queue at the entrance was proof that young Lagosians were ready to impress, as everyone was eager to display their talents.
Acro dancers, Kehinde Olawonuola and Rachael Whyte; violinist Balogun Emmanuel; drummer boy Oribi Ibiski and pianist Munachi Mso were among those numerous talents that impressed the scouts and got the nods for the Lagos regional competition.
Vocal expert, Ben Ogbeiwi also known as Uncle Ben said: “I’m impressed by the amount of contestants who have come from far and wide to audition in Lagos. Anyone who knows me already has an idea that I look out for the best talents. I don’t condone mediocrity especially where talents are concerned. The best have been selected and I wish all contestants the best as they progress in the main competition”.
An initiative of City of David Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, GCGT continues to identify and celebrate talents in children and young adults from age 5 to 20 years.
