About 10 persons have been feared killed in Logo Local Government Area of Benue State by suspected Fulani herdsmen who invaded some communities in the early hours of yesterday.
Some villagers, who fled from the crisis area, told our correspondent that the gunmen stormed Adayohov and Sontyo villages of Gambe-Tiev Council ward of the local government area.
Our source, Dominic Ityav, a farmer said the Fulani herders invaded the villages at about 7:30 am when farmers were heading to their farms and started shooting sporadically.
Ityav said the villagers started running helter-skelter for safety, adding that the development forced many parents not to wait for their children as they were scampering for safety.
“As I am talking to you now, many parents are yet to locate the whereabouts of their children because the attack was so sudden. The Fulani herdsmen just entered the two villages and started shooting and killing people. We are tired because we don’t know when these attacks will stop.”

However, when contacted, State Coordinator of Myetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Garus Gololo debunked any fresh crisis in Logo between the farmers and herdsmen.
