A firm, Peel Aston Global has made a cash donation to United Kingdom-based Nigerian descent boxer, Larry Ekundayo, to facilitate his medical treatment for his injured wrist.

The Nigeria-born boxer who broke his hand during a World Boxing intercontinental title bout in July, this year had raised the alarm that his career would be on the line if he did not receive urgent medical attention for the injury.

The Peel Aston Director, Khomeini Bukhari, stated that his company has made an undisclosed cash donation to the pugilist at a brief event in London, explaining in an  emailed message that he flew to UK to present the cash donation to assist him get the needed medical attention.

“I felt it is obligatory to fly over to the United Kingdom to help by generously making a cash donation to Larry ‘The Natural’ Ekundayo last week Friday, at the West Ham Boys Amateur Boxing Club in Plaistow. I am in Nigeria very often and gain from the country and I believe it’s my duty to give back,” he noted.

Bukhari also pleaded with well-meaning Nigerians to also support Ekundayo, stressing: “Trough him Nigeria can bring back sporting glory home.”
