As customary with the Astymin Brilliance Reward(ABR) programme of pharmaceutical giant, Fidson Healthcare Plc, about 200 best-performing kids from different public and private primary schools from across the South-West and South-Eastern region, were once again rewarded for their academic excellence, thereby enhancing their mental and academic performances. The kids were recognised and rewarded with certificates of excellence and valuable prizes.
However, this year’s edition witnessed the use of a new and unique venue for converging the new set of best graduating pupils as well as parents, teachers and stakeholders in the Nigerian educational system.
According to the Marketing Manager, Fidson Healthcare Plc., Mr Friday Enaholo, the choice of the new venue is an indication of the company’s persistence in its commitment to support the kids in all their academic endeavours, through its Astymin brand, in line with the corporate brand promise of valuing lives.
“Ndubuisi Kanu Park is a bigger venue that offers a significant distinction from the norm, with more child-friendly ambience that will give the children a unique experience. The children will have more room for fun and there will be more games to play with.
“Like we have always emphasized, the ABR is our attempt to bring back the glory days of our education by throwing our weight behind the children›s drive for academic excellence. This is another season of delight for the kids who have worked so hard and performed exceptionally in their academics; but for us as a brand, it was another day of celebrating excellence.
“We believe it is better to catch them young and put them on the right path to success. Therefore, Astymin will continue to take the giant stride in rewarding brilliant primary school kids in a way that motivates them to stay focused on their studies, believing that merit and hard work can still be rewarded”, he said.
Explaining the rationale for the event, Enaholo noted that Astymin Brilliance Reward is the brand’s biggest and most prestigious event. He further explained that Astymin brand supports various school programs in primary schools. “For instance, every month, there is an Astymin Genius of the Month essay competition. Essentially, students in primary schools in Lagos state write an essay on a topic agreed upon by their teachers. The teachers also assess them and choose the best of the entries. Astymin then rewards the child with prizes, which include valuable educational materials.
The ABR event was an atmosphere of fun, friendship, sharing, networking and excitement. There was lots of music, dance, games and jokes to the delight of the kids.
