As about N31 million is up for grabs in the remaining two major draws, Fidelity Bank Plc has called on Nigerians in Diaspora to participate in its ongoing Get Alert in Millions (GAIM)promo.

According to Mrs. Chijioke Ugochukwu, its  Executive Director, Shared Services and Products, who stated this at the presentation of cash and consolation prizes to the winners of the 7th edition of the promo in Lagos, the promo is available for Nigerians everywhere in the world. “As you know, accounts can be opened online, on Facebook, through our electronic banking channels. So Nigerians in Diaspora can ease the flow of foreign exchange and convert same into Nigerian accounts. So they can be part of the promo,” she added.

Mrs. Ugochukwu stated that N74 million has so far been given out to the bank’s loyal customers, while N32 million still remained to be given out in the remaining two major promos.

At the presentation, Mr. Egwuomwu Izuchukwu from Enu-Owa, Idumota branch in Lagos who emerged as the star prize winner of N3 million at the draw, was presented with his cash.

The promo commenced in September 2016 and is expected to last for a nine-month period.

During the 7th monthly draw of the promo held at the bank’s head office in Lagos, six winners for N9 million cash prize emerged and 12 consolation prize winners of refrigerators and generating sets were also selected.

In South West region, Adams Alade, who banks at Iwo Road branch of the bank won N1 million; from South East, Amarachi Okonkwo emerged N1 million winner and in the South South region, Ndor Eunice also won N1 million.

Also, Shedrack Trinity Ovat from Abuja region emerged winner of N1 million; in the North region, Mercy Azih, a business owner won N2 million while Egwuomwu Izuchukwu from Enu-Owa, Idumota branch in Lagos emerged as the star prize winner of N3 million, thus bringing the total cash prize win to N9 million.

Speaking during the promo draw, General Manager SMEs of Fidelity Bank, Ken Opara, said the bank has conducted six draws since the promo commenced in September 2016 and based on monthly and quarterly draws conducted, 110 have emerged with a total of N65 million and several consolation prizes won.

According to him, at the end of the 7th draw of the promo, the bank would have given out a total of N74 million in cash and 84 consolation prizes of fridges and generators to over 128 winners, saying it is expected that more winners to emerge at the remaining two draws as the bank still has a total N31 million and several consolation prizes yet to be won.

He said that the get alert millions promo is very import project of the Fidelity bank being the six promos that been conducted by the bank in the last nine years, adding that the bank is supporting financial inclusion and it would continue to reward its customers for being loyal.

He added: “We are engendering the service culture and of course, we are also at the front running of building financial inclusions, which is the major reason we continue to do this apart from reward that involve, it is important for people to build inclusions where the risk of keeping cash out of the system with all the securities that are associated with… this is not the end of the promo. We shall continue to reward and support this because it is something that we are very passionate about.

“The testimony of the beneficiaries is overwhelming. I have the privilege of talking to one of the winners in the past and he said the saving promo he never believe it would be possible, by the time he won it, it has changed his life and that of his family. He self reliance now with employees. He was able to build a business that is employed about six people,” he added.
