Mrs. Adeosun explained that despite the economic challenges in 2017, the Federal Government was able to fully cash-back the capital releases.

She further stressed that the sustained high allocations to key sectors was a reflection of the Federal Government’s commitment to infrastructure development in the country.
The Minister said the government was working assiduously to attract private capital to complement its spending in these key areas.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, had confirmed this to the media on Monday.
“I can confirm to you that the President will sign the budget into law at midday on Wednesday,” the presidential spokesman said.

It was also reported that the weekly meeting of the Federal Executive Council that normally holds every Wednesday will not hold today.

It was not clear if the meeting was put off because of the signing of the budget.
