Fabulous reception dress

By Bolatito Adebayo

are you thinking of doing an outfit change on your big day?  Well, if you want a reception dress, then go for it because wearing a stunning ball gown made with layers upon layers of tulle for your wedding will affect your movement around at the reception. Especially, if you are the type that loves dancing. Of course you wouldn’t want your dress to come between you and the fun. So, getting something easier to wear to the reception will be a good idea.

How then do you get the perfect dress?  First and foremost, you have to have comfort at the back of your mind.

Here are tips for choosing that reception dress

•Always consider the theme of your wedding before picking a second dress.

•You don’t have to break the bank to buy the second dress because your wedding dress should be the star, so invest more on your first dress which is the wedding dress.

•Since the first dress is a long dress, you can opt for a short reception dress. Get something fun and flirty that is comfortable. But if you are a little conservative, you can go for a party-appropriate knee or floor length dress.

•Your reception dress mustn’t be a dress. If you want a pant or shorts then go for it. However, make sure your short is decent because of your in-laws and guest.

•Play with colours. Your reception dress should be vibrant and certainly not white. However, before you pick a colour make sure that it doesn’t clash with your complexion.

•You have to be very comfortable in your second dress. This is not the time to be struggling with undergarments or itchy layers. Make sure your reception dress is something you can drink and dance in all night.
