Former Senate Chief Whip and ADP South South Leader, Senator Rowland Owie has cautioned against the current clamour for state police by some political leaders.

The ADP chieftain’s warning is coming on the heels of fresh moves by governors to have state police. According to Owie, “No sane Nigerian, will at this stage of the political development of our great country support the establishment of State Police Force, especially when we are witnesses to what the state governors have turned State Independent Electoral Commssions to; a Department of the Government House.
