Former chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenih, lost one of his sons, Eugene, yesterday.

Eugene’s death is the second in the Anenih family in three weeks.

On April 17,  2017, the senior Anenih’s first wife and Eugene’s mother, Dame Patricia, died at the age of 74.

She was regarded as the matriarch of the Anenih family and her remains are yet to be interred.

Yesterday, Eugene reportedly slumped and died of alleged heart attack while playing a game of tennis at Ikoyi Club, in Lagos.

Reports indicated that his friends administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on him, but failed to revive him after which he was rushed to St Nicholas Hospital, also in Lagos Island.

Eugene, it was learnt, died before he got to the hospital.

Before his death, he was a stock broker and the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nova Finance and Securities Limited.

He worked previously at TRW Finance and Securities Limited and has been a director of Thomas Wyatt Nigeria Plc since 2008.

Daily Sun called Police Public Relations Officer, Olarinde Famous-Cole, for further details, but calls to his mobile line went unanswered.
