Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, has called for improved budgetary allocation to the education sector at all levels.

He made the call at a news conference on Monday in Sokoto, stressing that “education is a critical sector that should not be left to government alone.

“Nigerians have no option than to complement the efforts of government in funding education at all levels.

“This does not, however, mean that the three tiers of government have failed to fund education.
