The family of late former Vice President, Dr. Alex Ekwueme, has fixed tribute night for January 28, 2018 at the International Conference Center (ICC).

This was made known on Sunday at the Revival House of Glory (RHOGIC), where his first son, Pastor Goodheart Ekwueme presides.

The national burial committee for Ekwueme’s final passage rites was inaugurated December 5.

The federal government has said it will take care of the entire bill for the burial which includes moving his remains from London to Nigeria.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha who chairs the committee, had assured the family that their father will be given a befitting state burial.
Members of the Committee include, Ministers of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, Finance, Kemi Adeosun, Labour and Productivity, Chris Ngige, Mr. Ibrahim Idris and Mallam Lawal Musa Daura.

Others are Pastor Ekwueme, the SSG, Anambra State, Prof. Osita Chukwulobelu and the Permanent Secretary, General Services Office, Dr. Roy Ugo, is the Secretary of the committee, according to a statement signed by Deputy Director (Press) Office Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mohammed Nakorji.
