The Super Eagles will on Thursday depart for Volgograd, venue of the crucial group game against Iceland in the ongoing Russia FIFA World Cup.

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) first Vice President, Barr Seyi Akinwunmi, who made the disclosure at a media parley in St Petersburg yesterday, assured that the team will storm the venue in high spirit, adding that there is no injury concerns.

“It is unfortunate that we did not start the tournament as we hoped we would having lost the first match to Croatia, but this is part of the game of football.

“We could not have predicted that loss having prepared very hard in the last two years and especially in the past two months. We have ensured that the boys themselves did not feel so dejected and they are in a camp that is serene where they can get themselves together in the privacy they require to get out of the mood they were after the match.”
