If feelers reaching TS Weekend are anything to go by, then opera singer turned-Afro pop musician, Abiodun Koya, has relocated back home after almost two decades in the United States of America.
According to an insider, the move may be permanent. “Abiodun Koya has seen and done it all in the United States. She has performed before presidents, kings and queens and found success. Now she is returning home to contribute her quota to the growth of Nigerian music,” the source said.
Meanwhile, Koya has just finished production on her new heart-endearing, patriotic song, Lift Up Nigeria, which she wrote and composed for the nation. It will be ready for release on or before May 29, Democracy Day.
There are also plans to shoot a video for the song, and she is currently working with producers of repute such as Wole Oni and Flip Tyce.
