Archbishop of the Metropolitan Catholic See of Lagos, Rev. Adewale Martin, has warned against the drumbeats war in the country.

Martins handed down this warning, yesterday during the homily to mark the 400th anniversary of the Vincentian Charism at the Christ the King Catholic Church, Akowonjo, Lagos.  “We are living in a country where there is so much anger and outrage due to the policies of some groups and this is being fuelled by our leaders. History should be enough to teach us lessons. With what is going on in the country, we are heading to another civil war.

“We should be able to learn from the main focus of the St. Vincent that preaches peace and humanity.”

Meanwhile, Publicity Secretary, Jude Ohiaeri, has said the situation in the country is getting worse by the day.

“With the condition of the country, there would be more hunger in the country and that would mean more work for the society to do because it is a humanitarian group. We would need about N250 million to complete our vocational centre, which would be advantageous to the country,” he said.
