The 2018 MTV Europe Awards held yesterday at the Bizkaia Arena, Bilbao in Spain, with ‘Havana’ singer, Camila Cabello, walking home with the most awards with four wins out of six nominations.
The 21 years old singer started the night by winning the first two awards announced. In, all, the Cuban singer picked the awards for ‘Best Artist’, ‘Best Video’, ‘Best US Act’ and ‘Best Song’.
Nicki Minaj was the next big winner of the night, going home with two awards for ‘Best Look’ and ‘Best Hip Hop’, while fellow New York rapper Cardi B went got the award for ‘Best New Artiste’.
Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage also became the first Female artiste to win the ‘Best African Act’ edging outshining fierce competition from other heavyweights like Fally Ipupa, Davido, Distruction Boyz, Nyashinski and
Shekinah.
Janet Jackson, 52, was honoured with the “Global Icon Award’ for the impact she has made with her music in her career which has spanned over 40 years and seen her become one of the highest selling artiste with over 160 million copies of her records sold. The pop legends also pulled off a very energetic performance on the night.

Other artistes who got the chance to perform on stage Jason Derulo, Alessia Cara, Bebe Rexha, Rosalia, David Guetta, Hailee Steinfeld, Halsey, Jack & Jack, Little Mix and Camila Cabello.
