THE Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) does not want the nation’s football to suffer another round of setback barely one week after the Super Eagles failed to pick AFCON 2017 Nations Cup ticket.

The soccer federation to this end has resolved to throw her weight behind Nigeria’s only surviving club in CAF club competitions this term, Enyimba International.

The NFF in a communiqué made available to Daily Sunsports after its executive committee meeting held Tuesday in Abuja resolved to give the Peoples Elephant all the support she needs to beat top Tunisian side Etoile to qualify for the money spinning group stage of the CAF Champions League.
Enyimba will this weekend host Etoile in the first leg of final preliminary round of the CAF Champions League at the Adokie Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.

Committee also called on philanthropic Nigerians who are inclined to support football to give the team every support possible, and charged football fans in Port Harcourt and its environs to be at the Adokiye Amiesieamaka Stadium on Sunday to cheer the team to victory, against Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia.”

The NFF further stated that she would do everything possible to ensure that the Super Eagles qualify for the Russia 2018 World Cup, a task which it noted calls for hard work from all and sundry .
