President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole to investigate reports of an ‘strange disease’ which killed 50 children in Jigawa State.

Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, in a statement, siad the president also directed the minister to deploy all necessary machinery to combat outbreak of the disease reported in Gidan Dugus village of Wangara district, Dutse Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

He said Buhari, in a telephone call to Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State, commiserated with him and families of the victims and assured  that the Federal Government will provide the necessary support to contain the spread of the disease.
