Ghanaian President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected in Nigeria next week as the lead speaker at the 46th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN).

The two days event holding between September 26–27, 2018 in Lagos will also be attended by President Muhammadu Buhari, who would be Special Guest as well as the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.

According to MAN President, Dr Frank Jacobs, at a media briefing in Lagos yesterday, the Ghanaian president will be speaking at the Manufacturers Annual Lecture/Presidential Luncheon theme “Mainstreaming Policies to Catalyse Industrial Renaissance”

“Our choice of the theme was borne out of the need to appraise the performance of industrial policy initiatives, with a view to ensuring that they are positively aligned to the industrial aspirations and overall economic development agenda of the nation”, he said.

He noted that the choice of the Ghanaian President as the speaker was based on his antecedents.

Jacobs said that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has positively impacted on the performance of the Ghanaian economy.

“The output of the Ghanaian economy grew by 4.0 percent in 2014; 3.9 percent in 2015; 3.6 percent in 2016; and 8.5 percent in 2017”, he said.
