President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the appointment of Bisi Adegbuyi as Post-Master General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Postal Services (NIPOST).
He was a one time governorship aspirant in Ogun State.
His appointment was contained in a one paragraph statement signed by Director (Press), Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Bolaji Adebiyi.  NIPOST has been without a post-master general for the past 11 months, following the retirement of Mallam Ibrahim Mori Baba.
Mr.   Enoch Ogun had been the Acting Post-Master General.
The Senior Staff Association of NIPOST, an affiliate of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), had expressed concern over the delay in the appointment, saying it was affecting the organisation and staff moral.
Meanwhile, newly appointed Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Prof Segun Ajiboye yesterday assumed duty after being inaugurated by the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu.
Prof Ajiboye, former chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Ibadan Branch, said he and other chief executive officers of the agencies were tasked to key into the change mantra of the Buhari administration.
He said the education minister urged them to go to their various agencies as change agents, understand the problems and find solutions to the issues as well as move the education sector forward.
He vowed to uplift the standard at TRCN by focusing on teachers certification and improving their quality, stressing, “I am going to TRCN to carry out the mandate of the Federal Government and raise the bar.’’
“Teachers are central to the quality of education of any nation. I will introduce some programmes to raise the bar of teacher education in the country,” Prof Ajiboye stated.
President Buhari, on Monday, approved the appointments of 17 new chief executives of parastatals and agencies under the Federal Ministry of Education with effect from August 1, 2016.
The list of the 17 chief executives is dominated by academic staff from the universities who are of professorial cadre, including some ex-Vice Chancellors.
