Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, has barred traditional rulers from speaking English Language in any public function and in the conducting of the affairs of their communities.

Okorocha gave the order, on Tuesday, during the handing over ceremony of the staff of office and certificate of recognition to 19 monarchs at the  Government House, Owerri.

The governor said  that  traditional rulers  in the state, must conduct their functions in Igbo language, or get an interpreter where necessary.
