Reports reaching Daily Sun now says there is an ongoing fight between the Hausa and Yoruba at Sabo market of the ancient town of Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The clash reportedly started when a bus used his side mirror to hit an Hausa woman at Sabo last night.

The Hausa men at Sabo market got angry and reportedly injured the driver with cutlass. On Wednesday morning, the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) boys allegedly retaliated the attack on the woman. As at last count, about five people were said to have been killed and others injured in the fight.

Gunshots were heard while some shops were reportedly set ablaze and residents deserted both Sabo and Lagere area of the town.

Police and army personnel have been discharged to the area.
